AMCOM Low Noise Amplifier Modules | Frequency & Noise Figure

2026-07-30 09:54:22 Data Storage Technology Limited View times 19

AMCOM Communications offers low noise amplifier modules covering frequencies from low-frequency RF through Ku-band microwave applications.

The main selection factors are operating frequency, noise figure, gain, output P1dB and supply voltage. A lower noise figure helps improve receiver sensitivity, while higher gain reduces the contribution of later receiver stages.

Quick Selection Guide

Lowest Noise Figure

The AM061306LN-P1 covers 550–1300MHz with a typical noise figure of 0.55dB. It is suitable for receiver systems where low noise performance is the main requirement.

High Gain from 700MHz to 2.7GHz

The AM072706LN-P1 provides 35dB gain, 0.6dB noise figure and 25dBm output P1dB. It is a strong option for broadband communication and RF receiver front ends.

1–3GHz Receiver Applications

The AM103020LN-P1 combines 35dB gain with a 0.6dB noise figure. Its frequency range supports L-band and S-band communication, telemetry and radar receivers.

2.4GHz Applications

The AM242509LN-P1 is optimised for 2.4–2.5GHz operation. It provides a 0.85dB noise figure and 26dBm output P1dB, making it suitable for receivers that also require relatively high output linearity.

Broadband 1–8GHz Coverage

The AM108020LN-P1 provides wide 1–8GHz coverage with 24dB gain. It is suitable for multi-band receivers, broadband test equipment and general microwave applications.

C-Band and Ku-Band

The AM456011LN-P1 covers 4.5–6GHz with a 1.1dB noise figure.

For higher-frequency systems, the AM07014020LN-P1 covers 7–14GHz and can be considered for X-band and Ku-band receiver applications.

Key Selection Factors

Before selecting an AMCOM LNA module, confirm:

Required operating frequency

Maximum acceptable noise figure

Required gain and gain flatness

Output P1dB and receiver linearity

Supply voltage

Input signal level

Connector and mounting requirements

The model with the lowest noise figure is not always the best choice. Broadband systems may prioritise frequency coverage, while receivers exposed to strong nearby signals may require higher output P1dB.

Typical Applications

AMCOM low noise amplifier modules can be used in:

RF and microwave receivers

Radar and telemetry systems

Satellite communication equipment

Wireless communication infrastructure

Electronic warfare receivers

RF test and measurement systems
