Cyntec HCBS9610F High-Current Inductors for GPU & CPU VRM
The Cyntec HCBS9610F series is a family of molded SMD power inductors developed for high-current voltage regulator modules. Available in five inductance values, the series supports the demanding power rails used by GPUs, CPUs, FPGAs, server processors and other high-performance digital devices.
All HCBS9610F models share the same package size, DCR and rated current. Designers can therefore select the required inductance while maintaining a consistent mechanical footprint.

Which HCBS9610F Inductor Should You Choose?
HCBS9610F-700
HCBS9610F-700 provides the lowest inductance and highest saturation-current capability in the series. It is suitable for processor power rails with severe transient loads where maintaining inductance during large current peaks is the primary requirement.
HCBS9610F-101
HCBS9610F-101 offers a practical balance between inductance and saturation-current margin. It is a strong starting point for high-current GPU and CPU multiphase regulator designs.
HCBS9610F-121
HCBS9610F-121 provides moderately higher inductance for designs that require lower ripple current. Its reduced high-temperature saturation current must be considered when operating close to the rated-current limit.
HCBS9610F-151 and HCBS9610F-221
These models provide higher inductance but lower saturation-current capability. They are better suited to power rails with lower peak current or designs where ripple reduction is more important than maximum transient-current margin.
Design Considerations
The rated current and saturation current represent different limits. The 78A rated current is based on an approximate 40°C surface-temperature rise, while Isat indicates the current at which inductance falls to the specified minimum value.
For server and accelerator applications, designers should use the saturation-current value at the expected component temperature rather than relying only on the 25°C specification. PCB copper area, airflow and proximity to processors or power stages can significantly affect actual operating temperature.
Typical applications include:
GPU core voltage regulators
CPU multiphase VRMs
FPGA and ASIC power rails
AI accelerator cards
Server motherboards
High-current point-of-load converters
Network and data-center equipment
Frequently Asked Questions
Which HCBS9610F model has the highest saturation current?
HCBS9610F-700 provides the highest saturation-current capability, reaching 124A at 25°C and 108A at 125°C.
Do all HCBS9610F models have the same rated current?
Yes. All five models have a specified rated current of 78A, based on an approximate 40°C surface-temperature rise.
What is the difference between HCBS9610F-700 and HCBS9610F-101?
HCBS9610F-700 has lower inductance and higher saturation-current capability. HCBS9610F-101 provides higher inductance with a lower saturation-current limit and may offer a better balance for some multiphase VRMs.
Is HCBS9610F a TLVR inductor?
No. HCBS9610F is a conventional single power choke for voltage regulator applications. Cyntec TLM series products use a four-terminal trans-inductor structure for TLVR designs.
Can the HCBS9610F models use the same PCB footprint?
The series models share the same package dimensions, but designers should still confirm the official recommended land pattern and assembly requirements in the latest datasheet.
