The Glenair GMDE Series is a rugged Micro-D metal shell connector designed for applications that require compact size, high-density interconnection and reliable environmental sealing. With an integrated O-ring sealing structure, the GMDE connector provides an effective solution for protecting equipment from water ingress, especially in sealed panels, tactical communication systems and rugged electronic enclosures.
Unlike standard M83513-type Micro-D connectors that can be difficult to seal against a bulkhead, the Glenair GMDE design uses a rear panel mount structure with an O-ring to simplify installation and improve sealing reliability. RMI Style: Blind Tapped Rear Panel Mount
The RMI version is designed with blind tapped mounting holes and stainless steel inserts. It supports either #4-40 or M3 mounting screws, making it suitable for secure installation on equipment panels. The connectors are supplied with jackposts installed, and socket versions feature integral jackposts.

CMI Style: Space-Saving Rear Panel Mount
