The HMC7044 is a dual-loop clock generator and jitter attenuator designed for systems that must clean an incoming reference and generate multiple low-phase-noise device clocks.

It provides up to 14 configurable clock outputs with frequencies up to 3.2 GHz. The outputs can be configured for CML, LVDS, LVPECL or LVCMOS interfaces.

The device provides 14 independently configurable outputs and supports deterministic synchronization across multiple HMC7043 devices.

Which Device Should You Use?

Choose the HMC7044 when the incoming reference must be cleaned, monitored or switched between multiple sources. It is usually installed near the top of the system clock tree.

Choose the HMC7043 when a clean reference already exists and must be distributed to a large number of synchronized devices.

Some complex RF and data acquisition systems use both products: the HMC7044 generates and cleans the main clock, while one or more HMC7043 devices distribute it across multiple boards or channels.
