KRYTAR 4005040 & 4100400 3dB 180° Hybrid Couplers 0.5–40GHz
KRYTAR 3dB 180-degree hybrid couplers are broadband, four-port passive microwave components designed to divide or combine RF and microwave signals while maintaining controlled amplitude and phase relationships.
Also known as 180-degree hybrids or rat-race couplers, these components are suitable for commercial, aerospace, defense and test systems requiring accurate signal distribution, phase control and port isolation. KRYTAR lists standard models covering frequencies from approximately 0.5GHz to 40GHz, with selected products extending down to 0.4GHz.

How Does a 180 Degree Hybrid Coupler Work?
A 180-degree hybrid coupler contains sum and difference input ports.
When a signal is applied to the sum port, the input is divided into two output signals with approximately equal amplitude and matching phase. When a signal is applied to the difference port, the two outputs have equal amplitude but are 180 degrees out of phase.
The device can also operate in reverse to combine two RF signals. This makes it useful in balanced amplifiers, antenna systems, signal-combining networks and phase-sensitive measurement equipment.
