TLVM65030 65V 3A Buck Power Module for 24V/48V Systems
Manufacturer: Texas Instruments
Product Status: Active / New Product
Package/Case: 19-pin VCG QFN-FCMOD, 5.2mm × 5.8mm × 2.93mm
Description: 3V to 65V input, 3A synchronous buck power module with integrated inductor and adjustable output.
The TLVM65030 from Texas Instruments is a non-isolated synchronous step-down DC/DC power module designed for industrial systems with wide input-voltage requirements.
It integrates the controller, power MOSFETs, shielded inductor and key capacitors in a 5.8mm × 5.2mm enhanced HotRod™ QFN package. With up to 3A output current, the device provides a compact solution for converting 24V or 48V nominal buses into 3.3V, 5V or other regulated rails.

Typical Applications
The TLVM65030 is suitable for:
Factory automation and control systems
Robotics
Industrial transportation
Building automation
Test and measurement equipment
Medical imaging systems
Aerospace and defense electronics
Distributed 24V and 48V power systems
Point-of-load supplies for processors, FPGAs and control circuits
Because it is a non-isolated module, it should not be used where galvanic isolation is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the TLVM65030 suitable for a 48V input?
Yes. Its recommended input range extends to 65V, allowing operation from a nominal 48V bus. However, surge and transient protection should be added if the bus can exceed 65V.
Can the TLVM65030 convert 48V to 5V?
Yes. The module supports a pin-configurable 5V output. Thermal performance, switching frequency, load current and input transients must be checked against the datasheet.
Does the TLVM65030 require an external inductor?
No. The power inductor is integrated into the module, along with the controller, MOSFETs and several internal capacitors.
Is the TLVM65030 an isolated DC/DC converter?
No. It is a non-isolated synchronous buck module. An isolated DC/DC converter is required when galvanic isolation is necessary.
What is the difference between AUTO and FPWM modes?
AUTO mode improves efficiency at light loads by allowing pulse-frequency operation. FPWM maintains constant-frequency switching, which may be preferred in noise-sensitive or predictable-frequency applications.
