Pico Series M & MV Low Profile Isolated DC-DC Converters
Pico Electronics Series M and Series MV are ultra-miniature, isolated proportional DC-DC converters designed for compact electronic systems that require reliable isolated power conversion. These converters are supplied in epoxy insulated shielded metal cases and are available in low-voltage single/dual output versions and high-voltage output versions.
The Series M family provides single and dual isolated outputs such as 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V and 48V. The Series MV family is designed for high-voltage output applications, with output voltages from 100V up to 500V. Both series are suitable for applications where small size, isolation, wide temperature performance and high reliability are required.

Selection Guide
For low-voltage isolated power rails, choose Series M single output models such as 5M5S, 12M12S, 24M15S or 28M24S. These models are suitable when the system needs one isolated DC output in a compact through-hole package.
For applications requiring two isolated outputs, choose Series M dual output models such as 5M12D, 12M15D, 24M24D or 28M48D. The output voltage and current are specified per output.
For high-voltage bias or signal circuits, choose Series MV models such as 5MV100, 12MV300, 24MV500 or 28MV500. The MV series provides high-voltage outputs from 100V to 500V with 1000VDC isolation.
Design Notes
Series M converters require a 10µF, 75V high-quality low ESR capacitor across the output. For dual output models, the capacitor should be connected across each output.
Series MV converters require a 0.1µF, 1kV capacitor across the output. A minimum load of 10% of rated load should be maintained to prevent voltage surge.
