Broadcom PEX8749, PEX8747, PEX8734, PEX8733 and PEX8732 are PCIe Gen3 switch devices for applications that need medium-to-high lane count PCIe expansion. Compared with very large PCIe switch ICs, these models offer more compact lane configurations while still supporting flexible system design.
The PEX8749 provides 48 lanes and 18 ports, making it suitable for high-port-count PCIe fan-out, aggregation and peer-to-peer traffic applications. The PEX8747 provides 48 lanes and 5 ports and is especially suitable for high-resolution graphics applications, with support for peer-to-peer traffic and multicast. The PEX8734, PEX8733 and PEX8732 provide 32-lane PCIe Gen3 options for systems requiring a balance of port count, power consumption and board-level flexibility.
