Broadcom PEX8696, PEX8680, PEX8649, PEX8648 and PEX8647 are PCIe Gen2 switch ICs designed for systems that require reliable PCI Express expansion. These devices are useful for legacy platforms, industrial systems, communication equipment, storage systems and embedded computing designs where PCIe Gen2 architecture is still required.
The PEX8696 and PEX8680 offer high lane counts for large PCIe expansion platforms. The PEX8649, PEX8648 and PEX8647 provide 48-lane options for medium-to-large systems.
