The Vishay 193 PUR-SI series consists of polarized, non-solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors designed for high-voltage power conversion. Vishay expanded the series with 550 V and 600 V ratings in January 2026, giving inverter designers additional voltage headroom in compact snap-in packages.
Compared with using several lower-voltage capacitors in series, the higher-voltage options may reduce capacitor count, balancing components and PCB area. The final configuration must still satisfy the DC-bus voltage, capacitance, ripple-current and lifetime requirements of the inverter.
