The CINCON DH15W10, DH30W10 and DH45W10 are high-voltage isolated DC-DC converters designed to power control, monitoring and communication circuits directly from photovoltaic DC buses.

All three series provide a 10:1 input range of 150–1500VDC, 4000VAC input-to-output isolation and PCB, screw-terminal or DIN-rail mounting options. Selection mainly depends on the required output power, output voltage, current and installation method.

Which Series Should You Choose?

Choose DH15W10 when:

The auxiliary load requires 15W or less.

A regulated 5V output is required.

Minimum PCB space is a priority.

The application powers sensors, monitoring circuits or low-power controllers.

Choose DH30W10 when:

The load requires up to 30W.

A 12V, 15V, 24V or 48V output is needed.

The system needs more current than DH15W10 can provide.

A balance between power, efficiency and enclosure size is preferred.

Choose DH45W10 when:

The continuous load approaches 45W.

Higher output current is required for communication or control equipment.

Additional power margin is needed for startup or peak loading.

The system can accommodate the thermal dissipation of a 45W converter.

DH30W10 and DH45W10 share the same external dimensions for equivalent mounting versions, but their input-current, thermal and protection requirements must still be checked before substitution.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do all three series use the same input range?

Yes. DH15W10, DH30W10 and DH45W10 operate from 150VDC to 1500VDC with a nominal input voltage of 800VDC.

2. Which series provides a 5V output?

Only DH15W10 offers a 5V model. The 5V version supplies up to 2A or 10W.

3. What do the P, ST and DR suffixes mean?

P indicates PCB mounting, ST indicates screw-terminal wiring and DR indicates a DIN-rail installation version.

4. Can the converters provide full power at +80°C?

Not necessarily. CINCON specifies derating above +50°C. The available output power at elevated temperature must be checked against the applicable datasheet derating curve.

5. Can a DH converter connect directly to a PV string?

The 150–1500V input range is intended for high-voltage PV applications, but the final system still requires correctly rated fuses, disconnects, surge protection, EMI filtering, spacing and enclosure protection.
