SOURIAU 851 MIL-DTL-26482 Series I Connectors Introduction
SOURIAU 851 Series connectors are high-reliability metal circular connectors qualified to MIL-DTL-26482 Series I. Originally developed for aircraft electrical systems, the series is now widely used in military vehicles, instrumentation, robotics, railway equipment, geophysical systems and industrial machinery.
The 851 Series uses a positive 1/3-turn bayonet coupling. Three locking studs on the receptacle engage with the plug coupling ring, providing quick mating and an audible indication that the connector is locked. Multiple insert orientations are available to prevent incorrect mating when several connectors with the same shell size are installed together.
Eaton specifies up to 500 mating cycles, up to 500 hours of salt-spray resistance and an operating temperature range of −55°C to +125°C for the series.
