The KRYTAR 4030320 is a four-port, 3dB 180-degree hybrid coupler covering the 3 to 32GHz frequency range. It supports broadband operation across the S, C, X, Ku, K and part of the Ka bands in one compact connectorized component.
The device can divide an input signal into two nominally equal-amplitude outputs with a 180-degree phase difference. It can also be used in reverse to combine two coherent RF signals through its sum and difference ports.
With more than 18dB isolation and 2.4mm female connectors, the 4030320 is suitable for microwave amplifier systems, antenna networks, radar, SATCOM, electronic warfare and broadband RF test equipment.

How a 180-Degree Hybrid Coupler Works
A 180-degree hybrid is a four-port passive microwave component with sum, difference and two output ports. When a signal is applied to the appropriate input port, the device divides the signal between two outputs with approximately equal amplitude.
Depending on the selected input port, the two output signals can be in phase or separated by 180 degrees. When operated as a combiner, coherent signals applied to the output ports are directed toward the sum or difference port according to their relative phase.
This behavior makes the KRYTAR 4030320 suitable for balanced amplifiers, antenna feed networks, mixers, phase-comparison systems and monopulse radar architectures. Unused ports should be connected to suitable 50Ω terminations.
