Product Selection Guide

For E-band receivers operating above 70 GHz, the CHR1080a98F provides 71–86 GHz coverage in Die form. The CHR2295-99F targets 24–30 GHz designs requiring a compact millimeter-wave down-converter Die.

For X- and Ku-band receivers, the CHR3352, CHR3362 and CHR3662 families provide QFN-packaged options with wide LO and IF coverage. The CHR3364, CHR3663 and CHR3664 support K- and Ka-band receiver designs, while the CHR3394-QEG is intended for 37–40 GHz Q-band systems.

The CHR2411-QDG and CHR2421-QEG are specialized receiver ICs for narrowband 24 GHz applications rather than conventional broadband down converters.

Typical Applications

Microwave and millimeter-wave receivers

Radar and phased-array systems

Satellite communication terminals

Point-to-point radio links

Electronic warfare receivers

RF and microwave test equipment

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Which model covers the highest RF frequency?

The CHR1080a98F covers 71–86 GHz, making it suitable for E-band receiver and communication systems.

Q2: Which UMS down converters have the lowest noise figure?

The CHR3352-QEG and CHR3364-QEG specify a 2.7 dB noise figure. They cover 12–16 GHz and 17–24 GHz respectively.

Q3: What is the difference between CHR3364-QEG and CHR3663-QEG?

Both cover 17–24 GHz with 11 dB conversion gain. The CHR3364-QEG operates from a 4 V supply and specifies a 2.7 dB noise figure, while the CHR3663-QEG uses 4.5 V and specifies a 3.5 dB noise figure.

Q4: Which model provides the widest K/Ka-band coverage?

The CHR3664-QEG covers 17–27 GHz, providing wider RF bandwidth than the 17–24 GHz CHR3364-QEG and CHR3663-QEG.

Q5: How do CHR2411-QDG and CHR2421-QEG differ?

The CHR2411-QDG is a single RX multifunction IC covering 22–24.5 GHz. The CHR2421-QEG integrates dual receive channels and covers 23.75–24.5 GHz.
