Product Description

UMS CHM and CHR series MMIC mixers cover selected RF bands from 20 to 86 GHz, including Ka-band, Q-band, V-band, E-band and 76–77 GHz W-band solutions.

The range includes LO-buffered sub-harmonic mixers, single-sideband mixers and W-band single- or dual-channel mixers. These devices support frequency conversion in point-to-point communication, broadband access, radar, automotive sensing and industrial sensor systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Which UMS mixer covers 71–86 GHz?

The CHM1080-98F covers 71–86 GHz and integrates a sub-harmonic mixer with an LO buffer. It can be used for both up-conversion and down-conversion.

Q2: What is the difference between CHM1290-99F and CHM1291-99F?

The CHM1290-99F is a 20–30 GHz sub-harmonic mixer, while the CHM1291-99F is a 25–32 GHz single-sideband mixer with image-rejection capability.

Q3: Which model is suitable for 55–65 GHz V-band systems?

The CHM1298-99F is the dedicated 55–65 GHz self-biased single-sideband mixer. It integrates an LO buffer and supports up- and down-conversion.

Q4: Which mixers are designed for 76–77 GHz radar?

The CHM2179b98F, CHM2378a99F and CHM1270a98F all operate at 76–77 GHz. They are intended for applications such as automotive long-range radar and industrial sensors.

Q5: Is CHM2378a99F a 4W power transistor?

No. The current UMS webpage heading appears to contain an inconsistent description. The product text and official selection guide identify CHM2378a99F as a 76–77 GHz dual-channel mixer, not a power transistor.
